Timberline Construction, a Canton based company that recently opened a Worcester office, named Clare Connell as its new chief financial officer. She will also serve as CFO of Timberline Communications.
Connell joins Timberline from Boston-based Shawmut Design and Construction where she served since 2013, rising through the ranks from assistant controller to head of corporate finance, according to her LinkedIn profile.
Connell is replacing Wayne Grenon, who left the position at Timberline in February for a CFO position at CMC Design-Build in Quincy, according to his LinkedIn profile.
“Clare was an obvious fit for the CFO role. She has led teams and other companies through tremendous growth, and bringing that experience to our financial leadership she will be an instrumental part of our future,” said Timberline and TCI’s CEO, Steven Kelly. “We have been working hard to attract visionary leaders to Timberline who embrace innovation and evolution. Clare undoubtedly fits that description and will redefine how we approach our financial and operational goals.”
In July, Timberline announced the opening of its Worcester office at One Mercantile. It recently completed work on Massachusetts Biomedical Initiatives’ new laboratory incubator space on Briden Street in Worcester.
