The unbearable lightness of being

A new poll shows people are making an effort to conserve energy at home but lose their conservation gusto when they get to the office. The survey, commissioned by Sun Microsystems Inc. and conducted by Harris Interactive, polled 1,741 U.S. employees between 18 and 54 who work for companies with more than 25 people. Results indicated that while nearly 75 percent of people want to work for an environmentally friendly company, only about half of those workers make an effort to shut off the light when they leave their office. Ninety-two percent of respondents said they shut off lights at home.
