Tenet Healthcare has named Christian Bartholomew as the new chief human resources officer for the Massachusetts market and Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester. Bartholomew will assume the role on Monday.
Bartholomew was previously regional director of human resources at National Health Care Associates, covering Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts, according to a Friday press release from Tenet.
His appointment happens amid executive turnover in Tenet’s Massachusetts market. Tenet announced Thursday a new chief medical officer for the market will begin in April. The Massachusetts market for the Texas-based, for-profit healthcare firm includes Saint Vincent and MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham.
Bartholomew’s “in-depth experience in human resources information systems as well as his history of success in recruitment and retention will make him a very valuable part of our team,” Carolyn Jackson, CEO at Saint Vincent Hospital and Tenet’s Massachusetts market, said in the press release.
Anita Holbrook previously held the role, vacating the position in August to become vice president of human resources at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, according to her LinkedIn profile.
Bartholomew received a bachelor's degree in human resource management and an MBA from Thomas College in Waterville, Maine.
