Worcester behavioral health and education agency YOU Inc. is putting its Templeton facility on the market, with plans to relocate once a sale is completed.
Known as the Cottage Hill Academy, the campus includes residential, educational and therapeutic services for children and young adults ages 6 to 20, who are often survivors of physical abuse, sexual abuse, exposure to domestic violence, neglect, and loss of a parent.
YOU Inc. said the agency's long-term plans are to relocate the Cottage Hill programs and is continuing to offer the services while the property is listed on the market.
Kelleher & Sadowsky, a Worcester real estate firm, listed the nearly 17-acre site for an undisclosed price.
The site, off Hospital Road in the Baldwinville area of Templeton, straddles the Winchendon town line. Winchendon, where most of the site actually lies, last assessed the property at just under $5.6 million.
The property includes a 31,000-square-foot main administrative and educational building, and six residential buildings of 12 bedrooms each, along with other smaller buildings and outdoor recreational space.
I worked here made some lifelong friends wonder what's the reason
SAD TO HEAR. THIS PROGRAM IS NEW TO THIS AREA. PROBABLY 10 YEARS GIVE OR TAKE. BUILT BRAND NEW FACILITY. SHAME. WONDER WHY THEY ARE RELOCATING
