A Marlborough construction software firm has sold the distribution rights of its industry software platform to an Atlanta-area company.
United Solutions, which employs around two dozen people in Marlborough, owned distribution rights across New England for the construction software platform Acumatica, which it has sold for an undisclosed sum to Georgia-based Strategies Group.
United Solutions bought the rights to Acumatica two years ago when cloud computing was becoming more widespread but elected to focus now on another suite of software called Sage, said Greg Kirsche, the CEO and principal of United Solutions. The company has around 1,200 clients in New England running Sage software, he said, for tasks such as invoicing and accounting.
Two of United Solutions' employees will transferr to Strategies Group, Kirsche said. Strategies Group has a separate presence in Boston, and United Solutions has a second office in Atlanta of around the same size as its Marlborough operations.
Software by Acumatica, which is based in the Seattle area, includes financial management, customer management and distribution.
