SynQor of Boxborough has reached an agreement with a global manufacturer over a patent lawsuit that's now before a federal court.
Under the settlement agreement with parts of Murata Manufacturing Co., Synqor will receive an undisclosed cash payment. Murata will also increase its bonded damages by $4.1 million to $25.2 million, according to SynQor. The lawsuit is currently before the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals in Washington, D.C.
Earlier this year, SynQor, which makes electrical components, settled another patent dispute with Lineage Power Corp. In that case, SynQor had claimed infringements of five patents against 11 suppliers of unregulated and semi-regulated bus converters, including Lineage, SynQor said. Settlement terms were not disclosed.
