Sweet Kitchen & Bar, which moved to Shrewsbury Street in 2008, will serve its last meal before the end of the month, according to the restaurant's executive chef.
Executive Chef Alina Eisenhauer said she and her partners wanted to go in different directions, and Sweet will close when its lease is up at the end of the month. The last dinner service will be Saturday, July 22, and Sweet will serve its last brunch the following day.
Eisenhauer, who announced the closure Tuesday on the restaurant’s Facebook page, said she will take some time off to spend with her family.
As far as Sweet’s coveted cupcakes go, the women who bake them will be taking Eisenhauer's recipes to a new location. More information will be posted on social media soon, said Eisenhauer.
