Survey Shows Ideas Aren't Safe In The Office

Recent survey results suggest that employees may need to be more possessive of their ideas or they may lose credit to sticky-fingered coworkers.

A survey developed by OfficeTeam, a worldwide staffing service, asked workers if they have ever had a coworker take credit for their idea. Twenty-nine percent said that they had. Of those that said yes, 51 percent said they did nothing in response.

OfficeTeam suggests being more assertive, especially if your ideas are being stolen on a regular basis. The firm also said that reminding your manager of your ideas and any progress being made will prevent co-workers from reaping the rewards.
