Sudbury Company Gets $100K Grant

Arradiance, a nanotechnology company in Sudbury, has received a $100,000 federal Department of Energy grant to develop a large-scale version of the company's imaging technology.

The small, 10-person company creates panels that are used to amplify electric signals. The technology is used to create high-resolution images for analysis.

The panels can be used in a variety of applications, including night-vision and taking photos of the earth from space.

The company was founded in 2004 and the grant will be used to accelerate the development of larger panels compared to what the company currently makes, according to company President Ken Stenton.
