Hopkinton-based Caliper Life Sciences will partner with a division of Sony to produce components for Caliper’s LabChip XT product.
Sony DADC specializes in manufacturing discs and digital products and will make a plastic component for Caliper. Sony DADC Austria AG co-developed the product with Caliper.
Caliper recently reported that third quarter revenue fell 8 percent to $29.7 million as losses narrowed to $1.3 million from $3.4 million a year earlier.
