Solar Wolf Energy will purchase the former Cabot House Furniture location in Auburn in an expansion where the company will add 40 employees.
The Douglas clean energy installer has secured a lease-to-own agreement for the building located at 771 Washington St. in Auburn. CEO Ted Strzelecki said the 38,000-square-foot location will house areas for training, an employee gym, library as well as audio and video facilities for the firm’s YouTube channels and podcasts.
In addition to training, employees at the site will participate in state and national sales, financing and marketing for the company. Strzelecki said an additional 40 jobs will be created by the expansion and for now the Douglas facility will be maintained as a warehouse and distribution center for Northeast installations.
Strzelecki said he anticipates transitioning to the new facility early in 2021 after renovations are complete. The Auburn location is the latest in an ongoing expansion for the company with new locations in Pennsylvania, Texas and South Carolina.
