Shrewsbury Street restaurant struggles with staffing, closes for two days

Brew City Grill & Brew House, located on Shrewsbury Street in Worcester announced on Thursday it is closing for two days due to a staffing shortage.

According to the restaurant’s Facebook announcement, Brew City will be closed for Thursday and Friday, with expectations to be fully open over the weekend.

The closure was first reported by local social media provider The016.com.

The Shrewsbury Street-based brew house is just one of the latest local restaurants who have temporarily closed due to staffing shortages and health concerns stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Two Downtown Worcester restaurants, Shawarma Palace and Armsby Abbey also reopened after temporary closing in response due to rising case numbers and a declining workforce.
