The Shrewsbury Street property housing DaVita Dialysis sold for $5.43 million in a deal closed Tuesday, according to the Worcester South District Registry of Deeds.
Located at 267 Shrewsbury St. in Worcester, the 11,000-square-foot office building is newly renovated and under a 15-year lease with DaVita Kidney Care, according to real estate listing service LoopNet.
The buyer in Tuesday’s transaction was Draycott & Canterbury LLC, which is registered to Ted Sykes and Karen Salveson-Sykes of Illinois. Ted Sykes was the president and COO of the American Queen Steamboat Co., a cruise line based in Memphis, Tenn. Sykes could not be reached for comment.
The seller was 267 Shrewsbury LLC, an entity registered without a name at 1623 Third Ave. in New York City.
DaVita, the tenant, has about 11 years remaining on its 15-year lease, per LoopNet. The medical firm is based in Denver.
The Shrewsbury Street facility was renovated in 2017, upping the value considerably. The sale price rose from $900,000 in 2016 to $4.49 million in 2018. It is assessed by the City of Worcester at $1.82 million, according to the assessors’ database.
