BJ's Wholesale Club of Natick reported a fourth quarter profit of $52.7 million on sales of $2.5 billion compared to a $50.2 million profit on sales of $2.4 billion for the same period a year ago.
For the fiscal year ended Jan. 31, the company reported a profit of $135 million on sales of $9.8 billion. For the previous fiscal year, BJ's made a $123 million profit on sales of $8.8 billion.
The company said it expects a profit between $123 million and $129 million for the current fiscal year.
BJ's also reported February sales results, which increased by 2.4 percent over February 2008 to $670 million. The company said sales of food were up 10 percent during the month.
