After an early career in retail management, including time at Paper Source in Wellesley, Robyn Lewis has joined Worcester nonprofit Why Me, which offers support to families of children with cancer. In this Q&A, she talks about wanting to make a difference, and about reducing her commute length by 90 percent.

Q. How are you settling in at your new office?
A. My new co-workers have been so wonderful and helpful with getting me settled
Q. What's your favorite thing about Central Massachusetts?
A. The fantastic assortment of restaurants!
Q. How close is this to what you imagined in high school you'd end up
doing?
A. I wanted to be an art therapist when I was in high school, so this isn't too close...but I still get to help make a difference
Q. How far is your commute to the office?
A. My commute is only six miles, which is amazing! My previous commute was 60 miles!
Q. Where's the best place to get lunch near your new location?
A. I bring lunch from home...so, my refrigerator?
Q. Do you have any hobbies outside of work?
A. I love to be creative! I am always working on some sort of craft project or making invitation for someone's party.
Q. What's on your to-do list for the next couple of days?
A. With the weekend fast approaching, a whole lot of relaxing is in order...oh and to promote the 19th Annual Why Me Golf Classic that happens in September.
