Red Sox To Help Encourage Energy Efficiency

MassSave, a collaboration between public utility companies and the state's energy efficiency administrators, is launching a state-wide marketing campaign with the Boston Red Sox to encourage residents and businesses to become more energy efficient.

Residents and businesses that make their homes or businesses more efficient can enter to become a MassSaver, which qualifies them to win Red Sox tickets, be highlighted by the Red Sox radio network, or be honored in an event at Fenway Park.

The goal of the program is to achieve $4 billion in energy savings in the next three years. Through decreased electricity and natural gas use the program hopes to achieve the equivalent of taking 40 percent of vehicles in the state off the roads.

Residents and businesses can share their stories at the MassSave website, which then qualifies them to become a MassSaver.
