Raytheon’s Marlborough offices have been awarded a $19.9 million contract to install new computer equipment in the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Raytheon will install new mobile data computer systems in sheriff’s department vehicles. The department covers 4,000 square miles and more than 10 million residents.
The new systems will give officers access to the department’s data network, mug-shot archive, fingerprint system, e-mail and other desktop features all from their vehicles.
