Worcester-based Bancroft School launched its co-op program and partnerships with more than 35 organizations and businesses, such as UMass Medical Center, Worcester Art Museum and Worcester Polytechnic Institute, with a ceremony at the school. Massachusetts Biotechnology Education Foundation and the Massachusetts Biotechnology Council sponsored a Job Shadow Day for high schoolers. The Acton-based Aberdale Foundation donated $3,000 to Worcester Polytechnic Institute Bioengineering Institute to help fund neural tissue regeneration technology.
