Plans to put a gas station in place of the vacant building next to Austin Liquors on Park Avenue in Worcester will be considered by the Worcester Zoning Board of Appeals on Wednesday, according to the agenda.
Prayosha Realty Trust, a Chelmsford firm which owns the Austin Liquors parcel at 370 Park Ave., submitted a request for a special permit to allow an automobile refueling station and car wash.
In the proposal, Prayosha Realty says it plans to demolish the existing vacant office building next to the package store. The company would also add a convenience store to Austin Liquors, which is a roughly 15,700-square-foot store with an expansive parking lot.
The firm bought 360 and 370 Park Ave. in February for $2 million. Austin Liquors is a two-store chain with its second location on Gold Star Boulevard in Worcester.
The public hearing with the Zoning Board will take place at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
