NORESCO, the Westborough-based energy efficiency contractor, will construct a $2.9 million solar panel system at the state capitol complex in Honolulu, Hawaii.
The contract is funded by the federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and is on top of $33.9 million worth of energy efficiency upgrades NORESCO has been hired to implement in the island state.
Improvements will be made in 10 state-owned office buildings that total more than 1.3 million square feet.
NORESCO is a subsidiary of Carrier Corp., which is owned by United Technologies Corp.
