Niche Hospitality Group, the Worcester-based restaurant company, has closed its Leominster location of The Fix Burger Bar.
The listing for The Fix’s Leominster location has been removed from the company’s website. The closure was first revealed in a Facebook post made by Leominster Mayor Dean Mazzarella on June 17.
“Before peeps have a meltdown on LU,” Mazzarella’s post reads, making an apparent reference to Leominsterites Unite, a Facebook group where residents discuss news and events. “The Fix closed and another [restaurant] will open. Different concept.”
The Fix’s Leominster location first opened in October 2020, replacing Rye & Thyme American Tavern, an upscale comfort food restaurant operated by Niche.
It’s unclear if the new restaurant will be operated by Niche; Michael Covino, president of Niche, did not respond to a request for comment from WBJ.
The Fix’s locations in Worcester and Marlborough remain operational.
In addition to the now-two Fix locations, Niche operates Worcester-based Bocado Tapas Wine Bar and Mezcal Tequila Kitchen; Mezcal is in the process of moving to the former Ninety Nine Restaurant & Pub location on East Central Street.
