A Springfield developer is proposing a new 2,398-square-foot Starbucks store at 105-117 Stafford St. in Worcester with a drive through, which could be the seventh location in the city for the Seattle-based coffee chain.
The property already houses a CVS Pharmacy location and an AFC Urgent Care location at 115-117 Stafford St. The site plan would incorporate the additional property at 105 Stafford St. into the development site, according to a site plan application submitted by the developer Colvest/Stafford-Heard Wor, LLC, an affiliate of The Colvest Group, based in Springfield.
The drive thru would accommodate 15 cars, and the development would add 18 spots to the existing parking lot, totaling 133 parking spaces.
A public meeting on the proposal will be held at the Worcester Zoning Board of Appeals Monday meeting, according to a public notice.
Starbucks operates five stores in Worcester including one on East Central Street that unionized in June, one in a Target on Lincoln Street, and one in Worcester Polytechnic Institute’s Founders Hall.
An additional Worcester store is planned at Piccadilly Plaza at the intersection of Shrewsbury Street and Belmont Streets.
