Workbar, a Boston-based operator of coworking spaces, will open a new location at 526 Main St. in downtown Worcester.
The new Worcester location, which will be the company’s 12th in Massachusetts, will feature 8,400 square feet of workspace and will open its doors in September, according to a press release issued by Workbar on Monday.
"With its rich history, diverse community, and growing economy, Worcester is a city with values common to Workbar, and it’s an ideal location for professionals seeking a flexible and inspiring workspace," Workbar CEO Sarah Travers said in the press release.
Amenities at the new Worcester location will include private offices, meeting rooms, and complimentary beverages. The company plans on hosting events, workshops, and networking events at the location.
"We're thrilled to welcome Workbar to 526 Main as part of our ongoing commitment to Worcester's historic Theatre District,” Bo Menkiti, founder & CEO of Worcester real estate firm Menkiti Group, which owns 526 Main St., said in the press release. “Workbar Worcester will be a vital hub for innovation and collaboration, fostering growth and opportunities for local entrepreneurs and small businesses. We're proud to have them join us on Main Street."
Workbar’s other Central Massachusetts location opened last summer at 111 Speen St. in Framingham, near Exit 117 of the Massachusetts Turnpike.
When it begins operations, Workbar’s Worcester location will join Venture X as new coworking spaces opened in the city this year; Venture X opened its location in Mercantile Center in February.
