DR. MARY FRISELLA joined Harrington Physician Services’ cardiology practice in Southbridge. She is board-certified in cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. Frisella has 15 years as a practicing cardiologist, and also serves as a lieutenant colonel in the Massachusetts Air National Guard’s emergency response unit. During the pandemic, Frisella was deployed to provide urgent care to nursing home patients. 

NIYONZIMA-AROIAN

The founder of Shrewsbury-based JNP Coffee, JEANINE NIYONZIMA-AROIAN, has been elected to a two-year term on the Specialty Coffee Association’s board of directors. Niyonzima-Aroian is an experienced coffee importer and exporter who founded JNP Coffee in 2012. She is a licensed Q. grader and was recently certified as a Q. Processor Level 1, making her the only Burundi native to hold both certifications from the Coffee Quality Institute. In addition to her coffee company, Niyonzima-Aroian founded the nonprofit Burundi Friends International, which focuses on educating Burundi’s people. She earned her MBA from Northwestern University in Illinois. 

ROCHFORD

ALISON ROCHFORD joined Ladybugz Interactive Agency in Southborough as part of the Digital Strategy Implementation team. Rochford’s background includes experience in the writing, journalism and public relations fields. Previously, she served as the editor in chief and designer for Sterling Meetinghouse News and Redemption Rock News in Princeton.

Thrive Support & Advocacy, a nonprofit empowering youth and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Marlborough, appointed ELLEN MURPHY as vice president of quality assurance. Murphy has 20 years of experience in the human services sector and previously served as assistant director of JRI’s Susan Wayne Center of Excellence. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Worcester State University and a master’s degree in developmental psychology from Bay Path University.

ALISON HOWARD was named the new marketing director at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Commonwealth Real Estate in Natick, a division of Commonwealth Realty Group, LLC. In her new role, Howard will be responsible for developing an overall organizational marketing strategy. Prior to joining Berkshire Hathaway, Howard worked in the marketing department at Zozimus, a Boston-based advertising agency.

Middlesex Digestive Health & Endoscopy Center in Acton announced that DR. MICHAEL DeSIMONE joined the practice. DeSimone is a general gastroenterologist with special interests in inflammatory bowel disease, including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. 

WANG

He earned his medical degree from Brown University, completed his internal medicine residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School and completed his fellowship in gastroenterology at UMass Memorial Medical Center. The Center also expanded its team with the hirings of nurse practitioners CHRSTINA DUNN and BEVERLY WANG along with office management staffer MARIANNE KITCHENKA.

RYAN JOHNSTON was appointed vice president of Integrated Care at Open Sky Community Services in Worcester. Johnston will oversee outpatient services, the Central Community Health Partnership, and a new federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration grant-funded behavioral health clinic.
