Milford Firm Waters Down Q4 Outlook

Milford-based Waters Corp. says it expects to report fourth quarter sales of about $418 million, well below its original forecast for the quarter.
In December, the company revised its fourth quarter outlook to between $410 million and $420 million in anticipation of the effects of weak global economic conditions, restrained spending on the part of its clients and unfavorable foreign currency exchanges.
The company's original outlook called for sales of about $454 million for the quarter, or growth of about 4 percent.
The new estimate indicates a sales decline of about 5 percent.
