Doble Engineering Co. of Marlborough has appointed Matthew Carrara as its new president.
Carrara will also serve as the president of Doble’s parent company, ESCO Technologies Inc.’s Utility Solutions Group, according to the Wednesday announcement from Doble.
Carrara is succeeding Bryan Sayler, who will start Jan. 1 as CEO and president of ESCO Technologies Inc. Sayler will replace Vic Richey, who announced his plan to retire as CEO in September.
Carrara spent nine years at the French multinational company Schneider Electric SE, which has offices in Boston, Foxborough and Andover. He was the vice president of process analyzers and instrumentation. Carrara previously worked for Dynisco Inc, which has an office in Franklin, and Gefran Inc. of North Andover.
Doble provides diagnostics and engineering expertise for the energy industry.
