Polar Views LLC completed another in a series of acquisitions along Worcester’s Chandler Street, with the purchase of a 22,000-square-foot commercial building and accompanying parking lot at 221 Chandler St. in Worcester.
Polar Views, which operates out of a Northborough office, is owned by Rebecca and Daniel Yarnie and completed the purchase on Wednesday, according to the Worcester District Registry of Deeds.
The seller was Anush Kazarian, who purchased the property as part of a $550,000 multi-property deal in 1996.
The City of Worcester assesses the property at $1,347,400.
The sale is the latest in a number of nearby acquisitions by Polar Views and the Yarnies.
In November, Polar View bought the location of Beacon Auto Sales at 119-127 Chandler St. for $2.1 million. Beacon Auto Sales is still operating at the location.
In August, Daniel Yarnie purchased the former location of Suney’s Pub and the adjacent apartment and retail building. Yarnie grew up around the corner from the property on nearby Mason Court.
The couple owns properties on Austin Street near Chandler Street and on Lamartine Street in Green Island, which the couple intend on renovating or redeveloping.
UPDATE Apr. 16: The former location of Suney's Pub and the adjoining retail and residential building are marked for demolition.
