Beacon MedTech Solutions in Leominster has named Jim Colony as president of the company. Colony was previously interim president, a position he took on in March.
Colony will be tasked with leading strategic growth for the company as well as strengthening customer relationships across life sciences and adjacent industries, according to a Dec. 12 press release from Beacon.
Beacon MedTech is part of Beacon Manufacturing Group, an engineering and innovation company.
Prior to bringing on Colony as interim president in March, Beacon MedTech did not have a primary leader and was helmed by the leadership team, supported by Bob May, Beacon Manufacturing Group’s former board chairman and CEO.
“We are extremely excited to have Jim join the Beacon MedTech team given his substantial experience in leading growth-oriented companies and building cohesive and effective teams,” said Carr Preston, board member of Beacon Manufacturing Group. “His interim success demonstrates his leadership will play a pivotal role in building Beacon MedTech’s future.”
Michael McGee was previously president of the company. He left the position in May 2022, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Colony previously held leadership positions at Anderson Power in Sterling and Hughes Aircraft Company in California. He has a degree in electrical engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology.
