Law Tribune to get a British accent

ALM Media, parent of the Connecticut Law Tribune, the statewide legal weekly newspaper, has been sold to Incisive Media, a London-based business publisher. The price, about $630 million, was much less than national dealmaker Bruce Wasserstein originally hoped for. Wasserstein, chairman and CEO of Lazard Group, began shopping his chain of legal and business publications a few months ago, hoping to fetch $1 billion for the company formerly known as American Lawyer Media. The deal is expected to close in the third quarter.
