Lackey Dam Logistics Center, proposed by national developer Scannell Properties on the on the Uxbridge-Sutton line, is permitted and is seeking a tenant so construction can begin, adding to the industrial inventory along Route 146.
The development is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2024, according to a press release from Worcester real estate brokerage Kelleher & Sadowsky Associates, which will be handling leasing for the project.
The facility can be subdivided, but the developer would prefer a full-building user, said Kelleher & Sadowsky Principal Will Kelleher. The center will offer 178,122 square feet of distribution space, 32-foot ceilings, and 135 parking spaces for workers.
Lackey Dam will become part of a growing logistics hub in the Blackstone Valley region. It will join the neighboring Blackstone Logistics Center, a 640,000-square-foot distribution center also developed by Indiana-based Scannell Properties.
Nearby in Douglas, the 1.1 million-square-foot distribution center, Cubes at Gilboa, is being developed by Chicago developer CRG, a subsidiary of real estate titan Clayco, Inc.
Over in Uxbridge, The Seyon Group announced earlier in March construction was complete on a 450,800-square-foot warehouse at 139 Campanelli Drive.
CORRECTION: An earlier version of the article incorrectly stated that construction was underway.
