The 373,500-square-foot manufacturing facility the Kraft Group is building for its Worcester-based packaging manufacturing division held its topping off ceremony on Tuesday.
The Rand-Whitney Group LLC’ manufacturing facility is expected to be fully operational in the spring, producing 350 million boxes annually, according to a Tuesday press release from New Hampshire architectural and construction management firm PROCON.
In addition, PROCON, who designed and built the facility, is expected to complete a 300,000 square-foot warehouse on the site which will be leased out in late spring.
Rand-Whitney is owned by The Kraft Group of Foxborough, which also owns the New England Patriots football team and the New England Revolution soccer team. This building is part of millions of square feet of industrial property purchased and/or developed by The Kraft Group or subsidiaries in Central Massachusetts.
The Kraft Group purchased facilities in Northbridge in March for $20 million and Webster in May for a combined $28 million.
Sutton-based UN1F1ED² Global Packaging Group, a subsidiary of The Kraft Group, is building 2 million square feet of industrial facilities on property it owns in Sutton and Millbury.
