Framingham brewer Jack’s Abby Craft Lager has proposed expanding its new facilities even further by opening a tasting room at the building next door to its 100 Clinton St. location.
The expansion will give Jack’s Abby 100,000 square feet of operating space on Clinton Street. The company left its original 12,000-square-foot headquarters in 2015 in favor of the 67,000-square-foot location on Clinton Street, a $6-million expansion that included a restaurant and the ability to double its level of production.
The proposed expansion into the 33,000-square-foot adjacent property at 102 Clinton St. will include more manufacturing and storage space, in addition to the new tasting room, according to the Framingham Planning Board agenda for Thursday. The expansion also will include upgrades to the off-street parking lot.
Jack’s Abby grew its production from about 15,000 barrels to 20,000 barrels between 2014 and 2015 and expects to brew 30,000 barrels this year, according to the company.
