Holliston IT firm acquires Texas company

A newly formed Holliston IT equipment supplier has acquired a Texas distributor of technology-related components and asset recovery services.

Maestro Holdings, which calls itself an independent distributor supporting IT lifecycle asset management, said it is expanding its IT asset disposal service offerings globally with the acquisition of Foxtec Corp., which is based in Austin.

Foxtec, which operates a location in Andover, will maintain its brand. Maestro CEO Jonathan Gerber will take over as CEO, with the company’s former president, Brian Mendelsohn, staying on as partner and chief trading officer.

Financial terms of the deal were not released.

In a statement, Gerber said Foxtec’s Austin facility is critical to growing the company’s asset recovery services portfolio with the firms’ OEM partnerships.

According to Gerber’s LinkedIn profile, Gerber is also the chief revenue officer for Framingham software firm TeraCode and CEO of vision software firm Fitted Solutions.

According to state business records, Maestro Holdings LLC, a Holliston entity registered under Gerber’s name, was established in January.
