Devens-based Little Leaf Farms named William Hogan as its new executive vice president and CFO.
Hogan is a more-than-20-year veteran executive of a variety of industries including paper, biotech, and software, according to his LinkedIn page.
"Bill's appointment as our new CFO is a significant milestone for Little Leaf Farms," the company’s CEO and Founder Paul Sellew said in a Monday press release from Little Leaf Farms. "His extensive background in private equity and financial leadership will be instrumental in supporting our growth trajectory and enhancing our position as an industry leader.”
Little Leaf’s Chief Development Officer Matthew Meisel most recently served as CFO at the company, according to a Little Leaf spokesperson.
The hiring of Hogan comes in the wake of the company's May announcement that its new 10-acre greenhouse would open in McAdoo, Pennsylvania in the Fall. A prior 10-acre warehouse opened on the 180-acre site in July 2022.
Little Leaf Farms grows produce in giant greenhouses using hydroponic technology, enabling them to supply fresh lettuce to markets throughout the year in regions where the climate is inhospitable to farming in the winter, and keeps the plants from being exposed to insects, fungus, or invasive plants.
