The Grafton Flea Market sold for $1.1 million on Friday to the owners of a small convenience store in Worcester, according to the Worcester South District Registry of Deeds.
The 13.5-acre parcel, formerly used as an expansive flea market which opened in 1970, was originally listed for sale at $2.2 million in September. It is located at 296 Upton St. and includes a liquor-licensed restaurant space, a storage building, and parking for at least 250 cars.
The buyers in Friday’s sale were two entities, both registered to Tam Nguyen and Dung Kim Do of 88 Providence St. in Worcester. The property at 88 Providence St. is known as The Store, a 7,500-square-foot convenience store property purchased by Nguyen and Do for $100,000 in a 2000 land deal.
The Grafton Flea Market was in business for more than 50 years under the leadership of Harry Peters of Upton.
