GHVCB branches out to Wisconsin, Washington state

The Greater Hartford Convention and Visitors Bureau is teaming with counterparts in Madison, Wisconsin and Spokane, Washington in a joint marketing effort targeting meeting planners.
The destinations will provide groups the amenities of mid-sized cities, well suited for smaller organizations.
Michael Van Parys, GHCVB vice president of sales, said in a statement: "There clearly is a niche market for second tier cities that consider smaller organizations city-wide business. What our similar cities provide and deliver to the planner and attendees can go a long way in accomplishing the financial goals of an association."
