GFA Federal Credit Union in Gardner named Mark Hettinger as its new president and CEO on Tuesday.
Hettinger replaced Joshua Brier who served as president and CEO from April 2021 following Tina Sbrega’s retirement until August when he left the company to become COO at GYL Financial Synergies in Connecticut.
GFA conducted a national search and chose Hettinger, who last served as executive vice president and COO at First Alliance Credit Union in Minnesota, according to a Tuesday press release from the credit union.
“GFA has over eight decades of history with strong growth and high-quality member service, along with an intelligent and dedicated board of directors,” Hettinger said in the press release. “I look forward to enhancing the credit union’s strong employee culture and providing innovative, world-class service to meet all members’ financial needs – whether they joined us yesterday, today or will join us tomorrow.”
GFA Federal Credit Union has $658,233,474 in assets and 103 full-time employees as of Dec. 31 according to National Credit Union Administration data. It was ranked eighth among credit unions in Central Massachusetts by assets as of March 31, 2022 according to the WBJ Research Department.
