Framingham startup Rave Wireless Inc., which creates security alert software for cell phones, has received $4 million in venture capital funding.
The company filed paperwork with the SEC indicating it has closed a $4 million funding round.
Rave was founded in 2004. It provides universities with systems that transmit emergency notices to students and help police respond to incidents on campus.
A company spokeswoman was not available to discuss the funding.
