Four Central Massachusetts businesses have received a combined $449,354 from a program designed to assist small and midsize manufacturers in keeping up with new technologies and innovations.

The grants were issued as part of a statewide effort, which saw more than $3.5 million issued to 23 businesses as part of the Massachusetts Manufacturing Accelerate Program, an initiative led by MassTech Collaborative’s Center for Advanced Manufacturing.

The four Central Massachusetts companies were:

  • RH Adhesives, an Acton-based business manufacturing adhesives used in vinyl and fabric repair, received the maximum grant of $200,000.
  • Aimtek, the Auburn-based manufacturer of components for aerospace, power generation, and other uses, received $106,205. Aimtek executives Jay & Rita Kapur were included in WBJ’s 2024 Power 100.
  • Iradion, an Uxbridge-based laser manufacturer, received $84,255.
  • OutCast Lures, a Holliston-based fishing equipment manufacturer, received $58,894.

The Center for Advanced Manufacturing is a division of MassTech, a public economic development agency supporting the state’s manufacturing and technology sectors.

This was the fourth round of grants of the program, which was founded in 2021. In 2022, Ward Process of Holliston, AIS in Leominster, and Multiscale Systems of Worcester were awarded grants, and in 2023, G&F Precision Molding in Sturbridge, Wirefab in Worcester, and J&J Machine Co. in Marlborough received funding.
