Canada-based Generex Biotechnology Corp., which has operations in Worcester, has hired former Pennsylvania Congressman Curt Weldon to promote the company in North America and Asia.
Generex said that it will utilize Weldon’s network of contacts in an attempt to pursue business and funding avenues in China, Taiwan and within the U.S. military.
Weldon, who served in Congress for 20 years before losing a re-election bid in 2006, was a senior member of the Science Committee and chair of the Defense Research Committee, where he provided oversight for all funding for the National Institutes of Health, National Science and military medical research.
