Federal Funds To Help Mass. Meet Health Care Mandates

Massachusetts has received $11.64 million from the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services to bring its health insurance exchange, the Connector Authority, into alignment with federal mandates under the U.S. Affordable Care Act.

The Massachusetts Hospital Association reports that the state was one of 10 to receive a total of $229 million to implement parts of the federal law.

The funding will help the state serve the individual and small group markets that use the exchange.
