Social-media giant Facebook is coming to Boston next week to host a program designed to help businesses grow.
The Boston edition of “Boost Your Business,” billed as a boot-camp style event, is the last of four such programs that have been held around the country. It will be on Thursday, Oct. 15, at The Cyclorama at the Boston Center for the Arts, 539 Tremont St.
Two identical sessions are planned; participants choose either the morning one from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or the afternoon session from 1 to 5:30 p.m.
The agenda includes a keynote address from Amy Norman, co-CEO of Little Passports of San Francisco, and a panel discussion on small and medium-size businesses moderated by author and marketing expert Mari Smith.
Participants may choose from one of two “Facebook learning track” workshops: growing online sales and driving in-store sales. Breakout sessions and other activities led by MailChimp, Shopify, Visa and Zenefits are also planned; and there will be an open floor with booths and representatives from Facebook and other companies on hand.
The cost is $25, and registrations may be completed here. A $50 ad coupon will be distributed at check-in, according to promotional materials for the event.
Other Facebook “Boost Your Business” programs held in the past few months were in San Diego, Minneapolis and Nashville.
