Worcester staffing and executive recruiting company Partnership Employment is moving its offices from Elm Street after 21 years at the location to the 18th floor of The Glass Tower, at 446 Main St.

"We are thrilled to embark on this new chapter in our company's journey with our relocation to the new office space," Partnership Employment Managing Partner Tanja Hayward said in a Thursday press release. "We believe the new space will not only enhance our operations but also attract new talented individuals to join our team.”

The building’s owner, Boston developer Synergy Investments, is working to activate more of the building amid a national downturn in the office market as companies rethink their need for office space. The developer opened a pop-up restaurant space on its first floor in October with the Worcester Regional Food Hub. Two law firms, Murphy & Rudolf and Duddy, Goodwin, & Pollard, signed leases at the building in November. Synergy bought the building in 2019 for $16.5 million.

Brian Johnson & Jim Umphrey of Worcester real estate brokerage Kelleher & Sadowsky Associates represented Synergy in the lease negotiation and transaction, and Evan Koogler of Lee & Associates, a California real estate brokerage with a Boston office, represented Partnership Employment.

Partnership Employment had been based in the Judge Dewey historical home at 71 Elm St. The staffing company has partner locations in Dallas, Chicago, and Stamford, Conn.
