Telecommunications and electronics manufacturer Paragon Holdings has purchased a 72-acre headquarters in Bolton for $8 million, with the intention of investing $1 million in the building.
Paragon plans to consolidate its operations, which include three facilities in Southborough and Ashland, into the 301,647-square-foot structure. The company said it will bring the employees from its companies – including Paragon Communications Inc., NTSDirect and Paragon R3 – to Bolton in January.
Formerly the Future Electronics site, the Main Street property was purchased from RGM Holdings on July 19, according to the Worcester Registry of Deeds. The building includes a fitness center, cafeteria, softball/baseball field, basketball court, walking/running trails, picnic areas, and is within walking distance to apple orchards.
"This acquisition represents an important milestone in the growth of Paragon and its companies," said CEO Mike Prefontaine. "Our company began in a space the size of a garage, and within 13 years it has expanded to 200 employees."
