Eastern Insurance Group LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Eastern Bank in Natick, promoted Timothy Lodge as its new president and CEO, in a Thursday announcement.
Lodge has 23 years of experience in the insurance industry and previously served as Eastern Insurance’s executive vice president of commercial lines before being promoted to the new leadership role.
In addition to his role at Eastern Insurance, Lodge is a board member at Junior Achievement and the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation and a member of the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors.
The change in leadership is part of a succession strategy to replace Eastern Insurance’s former president and CEO John Koegel, who is retiring.
“His knowledge, industry experience and strong relationships, both internally with our colleagues and externally with customers and in the community, position him exceptionally well to lead the business and team,” Koegel said about Lodge in a written press release.
