The U.S. Small Business Administration has made economic injury disaster loans available to small businesses and others in Worcester and other counties that border Connecticut.
The SBA said the loans are available to businesses, nonprofit organizations and small agricultural cooperatives in Worcester, Hampden and Berkshire counties because those counties as a result of high wind, rainfall and flooding last May.
The primary area for damage from the bad weather was Connecticut, but because “disasters do not usually stop at county or state lines” businesses in Massachusetts counties that border Connecticut are also eligible.
Business that wish to apply for disaster loans must do so by July of next year.
