A real estate developer with plans for a cannabis establishment bought a former mill in Hardwick for $500,000 on Dec. 16, according to real estate database CoStar.
George Lang purchased the mill at 94 Main St. In April, he proposed a $5-million adaptive reuse plan at a community outreach meeting in Hardwick.
The roughly 113,000-square-foot mill is split into three buildings, one of which is slated for a 50,000- to 60,000-square-foot cannabis cultivation facility called Hardwick Mills Greenery. The other two structures will be available to be used for restaurant, office, or retail space, with the possibility of becoming a marijuana dispensary.
The four-story mill was built in 1910, according to the Hardwick assessors’ data, and was last sold in 2018 for $300,000. The Town of Hardwick assesses the property at $321,000.
Lang has commercial and condominium developments in Braintree.
Awesome. Hope it works out.
