International event management company ASM Global, manager of the DCU Center, will host a virtual job fair for the venue on Feb. 15th and 16th, according to a press release.
The event, part of a wider international job fair known as The Next Great Opportunity, is seeking to address labor shortages in the entertainment industry caused by the Coronavirus pandemic.
“The return to live [events] is just what the world needs,” said Ron Bension, CEO and president of ASM Global in a statement. “There’s a thrill, an excitement, that makes this business feel communal for everyone involved. Our hope is that ‘The Next Great Opportunity’ helps ignite that excitement.”
ASM did not specify which jobs are available at the DCU Center, but did say that a wide variety of jobs from hourly to salaried levels are available, and that areas of work include operations, business, and guest services.
The international hiring event aims to fill 1,000 positions in 100 venues across the Americas, Asia, and Europe, according to the press release. Registration for the event is available online.
