The DAVIS Cos., a Marlborough-based staffing and talent advisory firm, has appointed a new president for the first time in a decade, promoting employee Mark Agostinelli following the departure of the CEO’s son from the role.
Agostinelli, who has been with DAVIS for all of his professional career, most recently served as the company’s executive vice president. In his newly minted role, Agostinelli will work to drive strategic growth and promote innovation, according to a Tuesday press release.
Having begun his tenure with the firm in sales, working his way up to sales director, regional vice president, Agostinelli played a key role in developing DAVIS’ core processes.
“Mark is the right person to navigate the evolving staffing industry and deliver solutions our customers want today and in the future,” Robert Davis, DAVIS CEO and chairman, said in the release. “Mark is a true advocate for the people-first culture that is central to who we are. His commitment to fostering an environment that balances professional excellence with personal well-being has earned him deep respect across our organization.”
Agostinelli replaces Brendon Davis, son of Robert Davis, who left his family’s business in October after 20 years to join the Washington, D.C.-based employment agency The Midtown Group. Brendon Davis had held his role of president since 2014.
“It’s been a privilege to grow alongside such a talented team, learn from countless mentors and to contribute to the success of this amazing organization. I look forward to leading us through the next chapter and am humbled by the responsibility,” Agostinelli said in the release.
Founded in 1985, DAVIS offers professional staffing and recruiting services in fields including manufacturing, engineering, and accounting, according to the company’s website. Headquartered in Marlborough, DAVIS also operates locations in Atlanta, Minneapolis, and
Manchester, New Hampshire.
