Craig Tompkins has been named president and CEO of Wood Fiber Holdings in Fitchburg.
Tompkins has served as COO since January 2018 when Simonds International of Fitchburg merged with Burton Saw & Supply of Oregon to form Wood Fiber Holdings. He previously served as CEO of Burton Saw & Supply, CEO and president of Marlin International, vice president of operations at Ryerson and corporate vice president at Sun Chemical.
Tompkins succeeds Ray Martino, who has been president and CEO of the Simonds since 1999 and has served as president and CEO of Wood Fiber Holdings since the 2018 merger. Martino has been named chairman of the board of Wood Fiber Holdings Inc.
Wood Fiber Holdings is a provider of cutting tools, consumable supplies and tool maintenance equipment for the North American sawmill market and other wood fiber processing market segments.
